WINMARK WELCOMES NEW FRANCHISEES

It’s training time again and we’re thrilled to show off our newest franchisees. They’re hitting the books in Minneapolis this week to prepare for their grand opening or re-grand opening. Each aspiring business owner, whether traveling from the east coast, Midwest, or Canada all have their own unique stories. Below you’ll be able to get to know them all a bit more.

Once Upon A Child – Stephanie Biwer, Minnetonka, MN

Stephanie Biwer, a former Winmark employee is taking the leap and starting her new journey with an existing Once Upon a Child store in Minnetonka, MN. With multiple years of awarding Winmark brands to franchisees, Stephanie is excited to work for herself and with this growing brand.

Plato’s Closet – Selina Beilstein, Layton, UT

Selina (Pictured here) and David Beilstein are already business owners. The two own a pet boarding, grooming and retail shop in Layton, UT. Selina was a dog groomer for 27 years and David, an accountant. Their experience in the retail industry brought them to Winmark in hopes of opening their second business. When the Plato’s Closet in their community was listed for sale, the Layton couple jumped on the opportunity. Selina and David have been customers of Plato’s Closet for 10 years and they’re excited to build relationships with their community and customers.

Greg Simon was attracted to Once Upon A Child as a customer and wants to help families expand their funds. As store owner, he is looking forward to creating a positive culture. With his own words, Greg states, “Creating a positive culture, and in turn those positive roots, will churn positive gains.”

Once Upon A Child – Nicole Fuller, Bowie, MD

Nicole Fuller pictured here with Steven Barnett, worked as a consultant for 17 years selling and implementing large human service solutions. What led her to wanting to become a business owner you may ask? She’s excited about having the flexibility to use a proven business model while also including her own decision making in the process. Nicole knows providing customers with a great in store experience is crucial to the success of any business and she knows she can provide that with her new business venture at Once Upon A Child in Maryland.

Plato’s Closet – Paul George, Hampstead, NH

Meet Paul George of Hampstead, New Hampshire. Paul has always been self-employed and is ready to own his own business. As a store owner, he’s most looking forward to staying put and not having to travel so often.
