Congratulations to Mike Hamann on the successful opening of his Play It Again Sports in Evanston, IL, last Thursday. Mike’s new store was busy from opening to close – and the day started with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by the mayor and several city council members – and even a few of the first customers.
Later in the day the store’s theme “Everybody Plays” came to life. Many families were coming in for a variety of products. Little kids were playing catch in the store while their older siblings were getting fitted for lacrosse or hockey gear. There was excitement everywhere. Mike looked around and said, “This is why I opened a sports store.”
