Congratulations to three new stores that opened Thursday, October 15, in
Kentucky, Texas and Ontario – one new store for each of Winmark’s
apparel brands!
In Owensboro, KY, longtime Once Upon A Child shoppers Carol Hulsey and
her daughter Cate Coakley opened their own store. About 70 people were
waiting in line for their doors to unlock and customers kept stopping
back throughout the day with hopes to win some great prizes! Coakley is
an Owensboro mom to three boys. She said she understands how expensive
it is to raise kids today and she wanted to offer an affordable store
for local families.
In Allen, TX, Mahala Ahearn opened the first Style Encore in the Dallas-Fort
Worth area. “This community is especially tight-knit,” Mahala
said. “That’s why I chose Allen for my first store.”
She said customers are so happy to finally have a store like Style Encore
in their community.
After opening a Once Upon A Child in Toronto, ON, last year, Duff Kovacs
and his wife Victoriya are now the new owners of a Plato’s Closet
in Mississauga.
